Harbin Engineering University Delegation Go to Japan, South Korea for Interviews and Communication

October 26 to November 1, Harbin engineering university delegation led by President Liu Zhigang wnet to Japan star university, electrical communication university, ClassNK, and South Korea busan university, KAIST, SNAK, Seoul national university and other international well-known colleges and universities and companies, to communicate about the education and scientific research cooperation and promotion of our school marine subject, reached several agreements and cooperation intentions.


Our delegation as one of the four foreign universities invited attended the "star university's 50th anniversary celebration", and communicated with the and Hattori Hiro and vice president Ogawa Tetsuo, vice director Ohashi Yuhiro ogawa zhe, on further strengthening teachers, students academic exchanges of engineering subject.


The vice president, nakano Kazushi who is in charge of education affairs and the vice president Abe Koji who is in charge of the international exchange of the University of Electro and Communications met with a delegation of our school. Both sides said that since two schools concluded friendly agreement, exchange and communication between the two schools especially in students exchange and the organization of international conference , which made significant achievements. The two schools will strive to achieve substantive progress in teacher exchanges and cooperation. The delegation also visited the laboratory PICT-ICT and intelligent mechanical engineering research laboratory in the University of Electro and Communications


The vice president Kinoshita Tetsuya of Japanese Maritime Association, director of the Institute for research and development of technology, Matsumoto Toshiyuki ,and director of promotion and research Chang Ping Chunyi met with the delegation. Dean of the shipping institute of Harbin Engineering University Han Duanfeng made a presentation on the advantages and achievements in the field of Ship Engineering Harbin Engineering University. The two sides will invite Japan Maritime Association to join the ship and ocean engineering innovation and cooperation of international organizations led by our school, which reached a preliminary consensus, and discuss internship and employment of our students in Japan Maritime Association.


Busan University’s president Jin Qixie and vice president An Hongpei, dean of Engineering Kang Fanzhu met with the delegation. Both sides introduced their schools, and all expressed the hope to further strengthen student exchange, and set up the platform for exchanges and cooperation between professors. Liu Zhigang on behalf of the school invited Busan students and teachers to participate 2015 snow sculpture competition and the northeastern language and culture experience activities in our school. After the meeting, the two sides signed a memorandum of cooperation. The delegation also visited the laboratory of ship science Busan university.


Invited by South Korea shipbuilding association’s president Xin Zhonggui, the delegation participated in the 2014 International Conference on Naval Technology held by Korea Institute of science and technology, and introduces the situation of the school and marine engineering subject at the seminar, and communicate with experts and scholars who attended the meeting.


Dean of the Institute of Seoul University Li Jianyu, International Cooperation Department Professor Bernard Iger, shipbuilding and Marine Sciences Dean Jin Ronghuan met with the delegation. The two sides deeply discussed about the subject characteristics, advantages and possible combination. After the meeting, the two sides signed a memorandum of cooperation and students exchange agreement. The delegation also visited relevant laboratory.
