The First Working Meeting of Deep-Sea Engineering and High Technology Ship Collaborative Innovation Center

In order to make a in-depth summary of 2014 annual running work of Deep-Sea Engineering and High Technology Ship Collaborative Innovation Center and do the research and deployment about related work in 2015, Harbin Engineering University, the leading unit of the Center organized the 2015 annual first working conference of the Center in Beijing in January 29th.


A total of more than 50 representatives attended the meeting: representatives from six universities including Harbin Engineering University, Dalian University of Technology, Tianjin University, South China University of Technology, Wuhan University of Technology, Jiangsu University of Science and Technology; the leaders respectively from Ship Industry Group, China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, CNOOC and CIMC Raffles; the directors of 13 enterprises and scientific research institutes including Chinese Veritas, Ship Industry 708, Nanjing Luzhou Machinery Co., Ltd., Institute of System Engineering of Shipbuilding Industry, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., Nanjing Luzhou Machine Limited Company, the Ship Power System Engineering Research Institute, Shipbuilding Industry in Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Shipyard International Limited by Share Ltd, Dalian Shipyard Co. Ltd, China Shipbuilding Heavy Industry 702, CSIC 703, CSIC 711, CNOOC, CNOOC Engineering Research Institute; the unit leaders of The Ministry of education, Ministry of industry, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Chinese Shipbuilding Industry Association, China Shipbuilding Engineering Society who were invited specially. The meeting was chaired by Liu Zhigang, the director of Management Committee of the Center and the President of Harbin Engineering University. Vice president Xia Guihua, Yao Yu, Marine Engineering College, Institute of Automation and School of power and energy engineering were responsible for applying for representatives to attend the meeting.


The meeting began with the 2014 annual work report made by Professor Xia Guihua, director of Council of Deans of the Center. He made a comprehensive and in-depth summary and report to the delegates from seven aspects: operational status of the Center in 2014, the implementation of major projects for innovation platform of Center, collaborative research of innovation team, reform of personnel system, new mechanism of team training and talent cultivation, international exchange and cooperation and other work and the existing problems and deficiencies in Center.


After that, he made a keynote speech respectively to the participating leaders, fully affirmed achievements made by the Center in 2014 and expressed that he will support the work of the Center from several aspects. Through this meeting, each cooperative unit reached a consensus about the deployment of following work and further cooperation on the basis of the summary of 2014 annual work. The consensus was that with the strong support and guidance of the Ministry of education and The Ministry, they would further input advantage power and do a better service for the demand of the national marine strategy by collaborative innovation.
