The 3rd Conference of Innovation & Cooperation in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering (ICNAME 2017) was held in Qingdao City, Shandong Province, China from September 7 to 9, 2017, jointly with the 2nd East Asia Marine Cooperation Platform Huangdao Forum. On the basis of the previous two conferences, attendees of this conference discussed and set up special sub-committees of ICNAME, reviewed the work report of this year and discussed priorities of the next year. At the same time, the conference carried out exchanges on international research hotspots in the fields of smart ship, marine renewable energy, deep sea engineering, underwater robots, etc., as well as personnel training in the field of ship and ocean engineering, and organized bilateral/multilateral cooperation talks.
