Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) technology is a technique for flow field measurement and visualization, especially for non-contact measurement of global and local characteristics of complex flows. PIV has been widely applied in many areas of marine hydrodynamics. The contents of the short course consist of the principles of PIV, procedures for PIV tests and experiments, particle image data processing and flow field calculation techniques, as well as flow field post-processing and analysis methods. The duration of the course is 6 days.

粒子图像测速技术是目前最常用的流场测试手段，能够以非接触的方式测量区域的全局、瞬态的流动信息，尤其针对复杂流动现象的流场细节进行全方位的定量测量，被广泛地应用于流体实验中的复杂流动现象捕捉和流动机理分析等研究中。本课程项目包含粒子图像测速试验平台搭建方法与试验流程、粒子图像数据处理与流场计算方法、精细流场后处理与分析方法等课程，课程时间6天。
