Model Testing of Floating Offshore Wind Turbines
A Joint Industry Project (JIP) for model testing of Floating Offshore Wind Turbines [FOWT] is proposed. Three typical modern floating offshore wind turbine hull forms including: a Spar, a semi-submersible and a TLP platform, will be design and tested for the same conditions. A 1:50 model scale 15MW IEA wind turbine with full data support will be used for testing. The objective of this project is to investigate the fundamental and critical parameters of typical floating wind turbine platforms under the same operational and survival design conditions through a series of mode tests conducted in an advanced offshore wind model basin. The testing results could provide valuable data and guidance for the JIP members in their research, design and construction of floating offshore wind turbine platforms.
开展深远海浮式风电平台水动力性能水池试验研究联合工业项目(JIP)。该项目针对按照同等条件设计的三种典型浮式风电平台开展水池试验研究,包括:立柱式平台、半潜式平台和张力腿式平台。该项目将采用数据齐全的IEA 15兆瓦风机方案和1:50试验模型。旨在利用先进的风电试验水池及设施,通过一系列模型试验获得典型浮式风电平台在工作工况和生存工况下海洋环境与物理模型相互作用的关键性能参数。为联合工业项目会员单位开展浮式风电平台的研究、设计和建造提供重要的水池试验数据和指导。

Three-blade upwind horizontal axis wind turbine; the overall weight of the rotor-cabin system is about 1,000 tons | 三叶片的上风式水平轴风力发电机; 转子-机舱系统整体重量约1千吨;
The diameter is 240m; the rated wind speed is 10.6m/s; the maximum blade tip speed is 95m/s. | 叶轮直径240m; 额定发电风速为10.6m/s; 最大叶尖速度可达95m/s。
The blade uses DTU FFA-W3 airfoil, the total length of 117m. | 叶片为公开的DTU FFA-W3系列翼型,全长117m。
