On January 18th,  professor Jeff Simon, Tang Dajun, Eric from the APL of Washington University visit HEU. The vice principal Xia Guihua, Yang Shie meet with the visiting experts.

On behalf of the school, Xia Guihua welcomes the experts and introduces HEU’s international cooperation in the field of scientific research. The Visiting experts reviewed  the cooperation in the respect of international conference and cooperative research with the acoustic college over the past 20 years. They highly praise the development ability of our acoustic team of research and hope to deepen the cooperation and communication in more fields.

The delegation aim at discussing the cooperation about sandy sediments in low frequency sound velocity dispersion property experiment measuring based on our key laboratory platform of the acoustic technology to fill the blank of the international field in this aspect.

The applied physics laboratory of the Washington University is one of the laboratories which  mainly engages in the field of underwater acoustics theory and experimental study. It carries out long-term and in-depth scientific research on the acoustic scattering, oceanic sound propagation, uneven volume, acoustic scattering rough surface, underwater acoustic communication, environmental remote sensing, ocean acoustic sound, buried target scattering and air and water environmental noise direction . Sediment velocity dispersion property is one of the main direction which is supported by a strong and stable team.

The relevant person of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange and College of Underwater Acoustic Engineering attended this meeting.
