On May 28th and May 29th , nearly one hundred ship and marine experts of 19 universities, enterprises and research institutes from different countries and regions of China, England, French and Australia met in HEU to discuss about the latest hot spots in the fields of ship and marine engineering and signed the “announcement” about ship and ocean engineering innovation and international cooperation.
Huang Pingtao, Administrative Director of China Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, Guo Dachun, Deputy Director of Heilongjiang Science and Technology Department, President Liu Zhigang and Vice-President Xia Guihua attended the meeting.
There are some contents about the announcement: first, cooperate in multilateral science and technology and advanced technology by means of combining innovation elements deeply. cooperate to cultivate students and focus on the graduate education mainly and cooperate in the curriculum, training plan formulation, the quality of teaching management comprehensively; Second, achieve resource sharing, open experiment conditions between the various units, share information of science and technology to realize the complementary advantages and resource sharing; third, carry out technical and academic exchanges, organize regular bilateral and multilateral meetings and held meetings every or two years; fourth, set up the ship and ocean engineering innovation and cooperation alliance and lead rapid development of the lead ship and ocean engineering through in-depth cooperation.
The meeting was initiated by HEU and the “Deepwater Engineering with Ship Technology Innovation Center ". Participants in the meeting discussed about the hot spots of ship and marine engineering, exchange the collaborative innovation experience, plotting ways and measures of deep fusion between the university and industry to promote independent innovation ability of industry, the integration of ship and ocean discipline advantage resources and strengthen international exchanges in this field around the construction of shipbuilding powers and needs of strengthen marine powers strategy.
President Liu Zhigang gave the remarks at the opening ceremony. He said: “ the conflict between the supply and need of world resources and energy is becoming increasingly conspicuous. With a strong demand for traction, ship and ocean engineering technology has made great progress and play an supporting role in terms of ocean oil and mineral resources exploration and development.Due to unbalanced development of related technology among countries, the education and scientific research level of many countries and regions cannot meet the needs of the industry, the countries needs cooperating in all aspects of strategic design level in order to combine education and technology tightly. He hoped the units make full use of international cooperation and exchange platform of new ship and ocean engineering and lead scientific and technological progress and development in the field of ship and ocean engineering.
Deputy Director of Heilongjiang Science and Technology Department said in the opening ceremony that the goal of national construction of marine power had brought great opportunities to the ship and ocean engineering industry. HEU together with Deep Sea Engineering and Ship Technology Innovation Center, set up a platform for international cooperation and exchange. They share the achievements of scientific research experience and seek cooperation opportunities to make a special contribution to the development of national and international related fields.
The two-day meeting includes more than twenty theme report and multilateral and bilateral discussion. Huang Pingtao, Director of China Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers said: “ The meeting itself is an innovation. At present, many large companies and shipyard adjust the industrial structure to the Marine engineering , but because of high threshold of order and big difficulties , China ocean engineering construction is hard to meet the demand of development. China pays attention to the new technology of marine engineering, but the new technology can not be achieved overnight and needs the mechanism of production. HEU and Deep Sea Engineering with Ship Technology Innovation Center built a good platform for it."
Deep Sea Engineering with Ship Technology Innovation Center initiated by HEU had hold five meetings of its member units since last September. It integrated the colleges and universities, domestic large enterprise groups, research and certification bodies of the highest level and choose the large-scale enterprise group, research and industry certification institution as the key cooperation object to support association between strong enterprises so that they can take advantage of each other's strengths and make collaborative innovation, aiming at improving our country industry's international competitiveness in the ship and ocean engineering industry in and leading the world development of ship and ocean engineering. The Ship and Ocean Engineering Innovation and Cooperation in International Conference is the first international conference which was sponsored by HEU and the center. Besides, It is also one of the important activities of the "academic anniversary" of HEU.
