The 6th Conference of Innovation & Cooperation in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering (ICNAME 2022) and the 2nd International High-level Forum on Smart and Autonomous Navigation Technology of Ships were held on December 22, 2022. The conference was organized by the Chinese Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, Innovation & Cooperation in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering Association (ICNAME), Harbin Engineering University, Russian University of Transport and Wuhan University of Technology. It is operated by the International Joint Laboratory of Ship Intelligence and Autonomous Navigation Technology, the Key Laboratory of Intelligent Technology and Application of Ship Marine Equipment of the Ministry of Education of Harbin Engineering University, and the Key Laboratory of High Performance Ship Technology of the Ministry of Education of Wuhan University of Technology. The conference was held online and experts and scholars from well-known universities, institutions and enterprises in China and Russia were invited to participate in the conference. The conference aimed to carry out in-depth exchanges on ship autonomous navigation technology, and promote scientific and technological cooperation in the field of ship and ocean engineering between China and Russia on the platform of the International Joint Laboratory of Ship Intelligence and Autonomous Navigation Technology, so as to jointly cope with the challenges brought by the development of unmanned ships.
