On the afternoon of November 9, 2024, the Fifth Meeting of the Second Academic Committee of the Key Laboratory of Marine Power Engineering & Technology, Wuhan University of Technology, Ministry of Transport was held in Wuhan. HE Lin, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Professor from Naval University of Engineering, YAN Xinping, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Director of the Academic Committee of Wuhan University of Technology, Chief Professor of Wuhan University of Technology, all members of the Academic Committee, WANG Fazhou, Vice President of Wuhan University of Technology, TU Wenmao, Vice Dean of the Development of Science and Technology Institute, HU Huanan, Vice Dean of School of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Energy Power Engineering, Director and Vice Director of the Laboratory, some professors, and young teachers attended the meeting.

Professor YU Yonghua, Director of the Laboratory, and Professor XU Li, Vice Director of the Laboratory, respectively reported to the Academic Committee on the Annual Work Report of the Laboratory and the Condition of the Open Fund. During the meeting, Researcher LIU Jinlong from Zhejiang University and Associate Professor LU Yeming from Dalian University of Technology, who were recipients of the Key Laboratory’s open fund in 2023, were invited to report on the progress of their research projects. The Academic Committee reviewed the open fund of the Key Laboratory for the year 2024, fully affirmed the various tasks carried out by the Laboratory over the past year, and also put forward constructive suggestions for the Laboratory.
