On November 15th, the World Maritime Equipment Conference 2024 was held in Fuzhou, Fujian Province. The theme of this conference is “Carrying the Dreams of Humanity to New Horizons”, aiming to promote the high-end, intelligent and green innovation and development of the maritime equipment industry, and to create a world-class event in the field of maritime equipment. SHENG Jigang, Member of the Party Group and Vice-General Manager of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (hereafter referred to as CSSC), attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech entitled Accelerating the High-End, Intelligent, and Green Upgrading of Marine Equipment, Empowering High-Quality Development of the Marine Economy with Independent Innovation.

On the same day, the 2nd China Maritime Equipment Expo, an important part of the World Maritime Equipment Conference, also opened grandly. The Expo, themed “Green Intelligence, New Quality Future”, focuses on hot issues in the field of marine equipment, deeply concentrating on collaborative innovation in the industry chain and supply chain, cooperation between industry, education, and research, talent exchange, economic and trade cooperation, and achievement transformation. It comprehensively showcases the latest achievements in China’s marine equipment field and conveys the latest development trends. GUO Ningning, Member of the Standing Committee of Fujian Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee, GUO Dacheng, Chairman of China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry, WU Xiande, Deputy Secretary of Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, and other guests attended the opening ceremony. SHENG Jigang also attended and delivered a speech.
