On 23-24 Aug. 2024, signing ceremony of joint industry project for “research on energy saving and emission reduction, vibration and noise reduction technologies of yacht and its equipment” was held in the Multi-function Hall and the Yellow River Hall of QIHANG Activity Center in Harbin Engineering University (HEU). Vice President of HEU YU Zhiwen, Vice Chairman of China Society of Naval Architecture Engineering (CSNAME) and Professor of HEU LIU Zhigang, Director of International Division of HEU DOU Zheng, Party Secretary of college of Power and Energy Engineering of HEU LI Hongbo, Dean of college of Power and Energy Engineering of HEU LI Yanjun, Professor of University of Genoa in Italy Pietro Zunino, and representatives of company such as WEICHAI Power Co., Ltd. and SHENGU Group Co., Ltd. attended the meeting and witnessed the signing ceremony.

Through friendly negotiations, Prof. Pietro Zunino from the University of Genoa, Prof. LI Wanyou from Harbin Engineering University, and Mrs. XU Xiaoying from WEICHAI Power Co., Ltd. signed the "Cooperation Agreement on Yacht Power Vibration and Noise Control, Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction" on behalf of the representatives. Prof. Pietro Zunino from Genoa University, Prof. LI Wanyou from Harbin Engineering University, and Mr. LI Shifeng from HAICHENG SANYU Pump Co., Ltd. signed the "Cooperation Agreement on Energy Saving, cost Reduction and Efficiency Increase of Electric Pump Group" on behalf of the representatives. The joint industry project is a landmark work promoted by the Intelligence Base of Harbin Engineering University and the Marine Power International Joint Laboratory of Harbin Engineering University and the University of Genoa, and is also an important step to help the international cooperation of the university's production, study and research.

It is reported that the joint industry project is jointly conducted by the University of Genoa, Harbin Engineering University, Wuhan University of Technology, WEICHAI Power Co., Ltd., SHENGU Group Co., LTD., CHONGQING Pump Works Co., Ltd., HAICHENG SANYU Pump Co., Ltd., TANJIN Pump Machinery Group Co., Ltd., DEZHOU HENGLI Motor Co., Ltd. It aims to focus on the needs of yachts and their equipment for energy saving, emission reduction, vibration and noise reduction, carry out quantitative forward design of low vibration and noise of typical equipment, and research on key technologies of low-carbon/zero-carbon engine and hybrid energy saving integration, establish key technology systems for energy saving, emission reduction, vibration and noise reduction of yachts and their equipment, and improve the independent research and development capability of related technologies.
