In the afternoon of 23rd August, Prof. Miao Yugang gave a presentation on the JIP project "Research and Application of Intelligent Equipment for Laser Welding of Corrugated Plates on the Inner Wall of LNG Carrier" in the Yellow River Hall of Qihang Activity Center. He introduced the progress of the JIP, including the industry demand, key technologies, mode of cooperation, as well as analysis and experimental validation. A number of representatives from domestic shipyards and research institutes attended the meeting, such as Huang Bin, a leading expert of China Shipbuilding Group, and Xi Mang, the director of the Process Institute of Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding Group Co., Ltd. The attendees had in-depth discussions to better collaborate in the JIP project.
