Notice on Holding the 2025 National Ship CAE Industrial Software“Langhua Platform”Application Competition
China Ship Scientific Research Center and Harbin Engineering University have established close and in-depth collaboration and, together with more than 20 leading domestic institutions across industry, academia, research, and application—including CSSC 708 Research Institute, China Classification Society, and CSSC Aolantuo—have, through years of concerted efforts, successfully achieved breakthroughs in multiple core and key technologies and developed the world’s first integrated ship CAE industrial software platform, Langhua. The 2025 National Ship CAE Industrial Software ‘Langhua Platform’ Application Competition aims to organize student participants to conduct simulation and computational analyses using the Langhua Platform, thereby fostering research momentum in fluid mechanics and naval architecture and ocean engineering, building a talent exchange platform in computational fluid dynamics and naval architecture and ocean engineering, accelerating the platform’s development and application innovation, and contributing to China’s efforts to become a leading maritime nation. The competition arrangements are hereby announced as follows:

Ⅲ、Participation Guidelines
1.Eligible Participants
Full-time undergraduate and graduate students from higher education institutions nationwide are eligible to form teams and participate.
2.Team Formation
Participants shall compete in teams. Each team may include up to three (3) contestants and one (1) supervising instructor. Each contestant may join only one team.
3.Registration
Each team shall submit the registration form (see Appendix 1) by email to szscjs2025@163.com during November 28–December 5, 2025, and join the official competition QQ group: 1026395075.
4.Competition Rules
The competition consists of two events, (1) Ship Added Resistance in Waves Prediction, and (2) Floating Body Station-Keeping Hydrodynamic Analysis. Each team may choose one event to participate in. Contestants are required to use the software provided by the organizers to conduct virtual experiments. The reasonableness of the computed results will serve as an important basis for evaluation. Detailed rules will be announced in the official QQ group.
Ⅳ. Competition Schedule
l November 28–December 5, 2025: Registration
l December 7, 2025: Training session via Tencent Meeting
l December 14, 2025: Submission of the computational analysis report (template to be released later in the official QQ group), to be sent to szscjs2025@163.com
l December 21, 2025: Online defense of award-winning works and release of competition results
Ⅴ. Awards
The competition offers First Prize, Second Prize, and Third Prize. Awards will be determined based on the reasonableness of the computational results, the analysis report, and the defense performance. The proportions of First/Second/Third Prizes are 10% / 20% / 30%, respectively.
Ⅵ. Notes
1. The models provided for the competition shall not be used for any purpose other than this competition.
2. Prior to the competition, each team must accept and commit to comply with the Langhua Platform User Agreement.
