His research interests cover marine gas turbine intake/exhaust technology, high-temperature turbine blade cooling, two-phase flow and conjugate heat transfer, as well as CFD simulation for marine power systems.He serves as Visiting Professor at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). He conducted academic visits at Tsinghua University and KIT. He undertakes multiple National Natural Science Foundation projects and naval research programmes. He has published more than 40 academic papers and obtained over 30 authorized invention patents. He maintains long-term research cooperation with European universities in marine propulsion.
